Cochran Crowned as Miss Lincoln Strawberry Festival | Loudoun Now

BY NORMAN K. STYER

The Lincoln Strawberry Festival is still months away, but the community celebration kicked off last week with the crowning of the event’s first festival queen during a gathering of the Lincoln Community League at Endhardt Vineyards.

Montana Cochran, a ninth-generation village resident who previously won titles including Miss Loudoun County Teen USA and Miss Teen Northern Virginia, will preside as the inaugural Miss Lincoln Strawberry Festival.

“This title is so near and dear to my heart,” Cochran said. “I'm looking forward to serving Lincoln and western Loudoun during the next few months to celebrate our agricultural community, most importantly, strawberries.”

The festival, organized by the Wegmeyer Farms Foundation, will be held May 15-17 and will feature a gala dinner, fashion shows, pie and ice cream eating contests, live music—and lots of strawberries.

Proceeds from the event are used to support community nonprofits and to offer student scholarships.

Ticket sales have begun for both the festival and the BIP Denim Gala and dinner. Learn more on the event website.
